UVeritech Forms Subsidiary to Perform Product Research & Development
In late 2004, UVeritech acquired the assets of Panoptic Co., Ltd., manufacturer of the PanagioT UV Authentication penlight and holder of numerous international patents for currency verification modules and LED lighting control system software. This was the first step in the formation of IPD, ("Innovative Product Development") a new subsidiary company, founded in March of 2005, geared towards developing customized product solutions for brand security, loss prevention, forensics and other applications of optical technologies and fluorescent markings.
Since then, IPD has completed the development and production of an ultra-violet measuring device for a customer in the pest-control industry and the development of a unique product demonstration tool installed in thousands of retail locations for the world's largest producer of light-adaptive eyeglasses. In progress are projects involving affordable "brand security" packaging solutions for a world-renowned branded liquor manufacturer, and a "body marking" ink product to be used by a pharmaceutical packaging company.
The mission of IPD is to apply our expanding portfolio of optical, chemical, fluorescent and software technologies in new and innovative ways to provide unique solutions to our customers' brand security needs.
